At Outdoor Iconic, we are pleased to offer FREE delivery within the Mainland UK for all our products. For Mercia, the estimated delivery window is typically between 7-10 working days. We strive to provide accurate delivery dates, Rest assured, we will promptly communicate any potential delays beyond the estimated dates.

Delivery Procedure:

You will receive an email in which you can simply pick a day that suits you and your schedule; there's no need to wait around for days on end.

Our friendly and punctual delivery drivers will deliver your building within 7-10 working days of purchase at the front of your property. All of our products are delivered flat packed to ensure it is easy for you to move the product from the delivery location to the build site.

On the day of delivery, you'll be given a two-hour delivery slot, and our driver will keep in contact with you so you can make the most of your day.

Installation

Feeling overwhelmed by the idea of assembling your new shed or garden structure on your own? Take a break and allow our expert team to handle it for you! The Mercia Installation Service is offered with the majority of our garden buildings, designed to save you both time and effort. We will assist you throughout the entire process, ensuring your location is appropriate, delivering your shed, constructing it, and, as you would anticipate from a professional team, tidying up once the job is complete.

How Does It Work?

Step 1:

When you have purchased a Mercia garden building with installation, you will receive a confirmation email along with our helpful installation guide and questionnaire.

Step 2:

Our guide gives you all the information you need to prepare your site for the installation and build a suitable base for your garden building.

Step 3:

Then it's time to let us know your base is ready! We will ask for photo evidence of your base and access to the site, to ensure the installation process runs smoothly. We will also arrange your delivery and install slots at this time.

Step 4:

On delivery day, we will text you details of your two hour arrival window with a link to our portal so you can see when your driver will be with you.

Step 5:

On installation day, our team will call in the morning with a rough ETA, install your building to a professional standard, and clean up afterwards, leaving you to enjoy your new building!

How Do I Ensure My Site Is Suitable For Installation?

To ensure a seamless installation of your garden building, it is essential that your site is adequately prepared and accessible. Our minimum requirements include:

  • Unobstructed access to the site; we cannot proceed with installations where access is challenging or indirect.
  • A level surface, which can be verified using a spirit level.
  • A clearance of at least 60cm (2ft) around the site.
  • A foundation that is appropriately constructed, matching or exceeding the dimensions of the shed's footprint, and featuring square corners.

Once your garden is prepared, a member of our delivery team will reach out to schedule your delivery and installation dates.

What Sort Of Base Should I Build For My Garden Building?

To ensure that your garden structure provides long-lasting service, it is essential to construct it on a stable, level foundation. Additionally, the base should be at least as large as the footprint of the garden building. There are several options available for your foundation, including:

  • Wooden frame base
  • Poured concrete base
  • Paving slab base

If you have DIY experience, you might consider building your own base. However, for those who prefer not to undertake this task themselves, we suggest hiring a local professional to assist with the construction.

Outdoor Iconic offers a 30-day return policy. This means that, following the receipt of your item, you have a period of 30 days to request a return. You can read more about our Return and Refunds Policy here.

Warranty

As standard, we offer a 1 year manufacturer's guarantee on our entire range.

We offer a 10 year anti-rot guarantee on all of our dip treated buildings. All that's required is that you treat the building with a preservative and waterproof treatment once installed and annually thereafter.

On our pressure treated buildings we offer a 15 year anti-rot guarantee. All that is required is that you treat the building with a waterproof treatment once installed and annually thereafter.

Delivery

Can I Pick My Own Delivery Date?

Yes. By entering your postcode, you can check available delivery dates before you even add your garden building to the shopping basket. On the basket page itself, you can choose your delivery date before you head to the checkout.

If it's not possible to select the delivery date at the point of purchase, for example, you'd like to clarify this with your customer, your customer is able to do this in our helpful portal.

My Order Has Not Been Delivered, What Should I Do?

We deliver between 7am and 7pm, and you will receive a text message with a 2-hour delivery slot on the morning of your delivery. If your order has not been delivered when expected, please contact our delivery team on 01636 821215.

Will I Need To Help My Delivery Driver?

Our drivers don't require your help during a delivery. They are also not insured to cover any customer injuries, so we kindly ask you to sit back and relax whilst we do all the hard work.

What Access Is Needed For My Delivery?

Our drivers are only contracted to provide kerbside drop offs and deliveries. They are unable to bring any orders through your home; this is to ensure both you and your possessions stay safe. any of our orders through your home.

What Size Vehicle Will Deliver My Order?

We operate 3.5 tonne, 7.5 tonne and 17 ton vehicles. Your ordered building could arrive on any of these vehicles depending on which area you live in and the time of year.

If you live in area where access is difficult for larger vehicles please let us know as soon as possible. Also, if your area requires a parking permit, then please call our dispatch team on 01636 821215

What Happens If My Order Is Not Delivered On The Day I Picked?

We apologise if you were expecting a delivery on a specific day and it was not delivered, sometimes unexpected events happen which means an order may not be delivered on the day you expected.

In order to rectify this, we will contact you to arrange another suitable date that works with your schedule.

How Are Log Cabins Delivered?

Log cabins usually take a bit longer to deliver than most of our other products. This is because they are made to order.

You should expect to receive a delivery call within 28 working days of placing your order. Please allow enough time for our team to call you.

Our log cabins are delivered on the back of various different sized vehicles, depending on the size of the cabin. Generally, the largest sized vehicle we deliver on is a 17 tonne truck, which is the same size as a dustbin lorry.

The windows and doors are pre-assembled. The wall roof and floor pieces will be offloaded one log board at a time. Please remember that this is kerbside delivery only, so the customer will be required to move the parts to the rear of the property.

There must be sufficient space for the vehicle to operate safely. If you are worried about your home not being easy to access please contact our team on the number or e-mail address below.

Can I Choose A Delivery Slot?

We will contact you on the morning of your confirmed delivery date by email and/or SMS with a 2-hour delivery time slot.

To save you waiting around, we have developed an industry leading live tracking service within the delivery portal. This will give you the exact location of the driver and an accurate time of arrival, down to the minute!

We aim to meet these delivery times, but during busy periods, deliveries may take a little longer; however, we always work hard to keep delays to a minimum.

Do I Need To Be At Home?

You do not need to be home for your Mercia Garden Products delivery. All we ask is for you to put a signed note inside your door that is visible to our drivers, giving them permission to drop your order without your presence.

Installation

I've Built My Shed Base; What Happens Next?

When you’re happy that your site and shed base meet our requirements, give our team a ring to book your delivery and installation slots. We always aim to deliver your shed 48 hours before installation. This is to give you time to check over your purchase to make sure you’re entirely happy with it before our team arrives to erect it for you.We’ll send you a text on delivery day stipulating a two hour window during which your purchase will arrive. This text comes with a link, which you can use to access our tracking system-you'll be able to see where the shed is and when it’s due to arrive.On installation day, our teams of installers work between the hours of 7am and 7pm to get the job done over one or two days, depending on the building you’ve chosen. We’ll call in the morning with a rough ETA for the installation team. If you’re not going to be in all day, don't worry! We can often complete the installation unsupervised; just make sure you fill in the correct part of the questionnaire sent to you when you purchased your installation.



What Happens When The Installation Team Arrives?

When our team arrives, they’ll check to make sure you’ve met our access and site requirements and then get straight to work. You can expect a high level of professionalism from the Installation Team, who’ll construct your new building to an exacting standard.

Once complete, we always clear up after ourselves, removing packaging and any rubbish from the build, leaving you to get straight on with enjoying your new garden building.

Do I Need To Help The Installers?

There's no need for you to help our installers! Our team will install your garden building professionally and efficiently, allowing you to sit back and relax.

Will Delivery And Installation Take Place On The Same Day?

We regret that we are unable to guarantee that your delivery and installation will take place on the same day. However, we will always ensure these dates are as close together as possible to minimise disruption.

Our garden buildings are all dip-treated before they leave the factory (apart from our pressure-treated products). This protects the buildings from water damage during delivery and installation, meaning you don't need to worry if your building experiences rain before being installed.
